The First Americans – Native Americans
Native American tribes are believed to have originated when they crossed over the “land bridge” that once extended between Asia and Alaska over 12,000 years ago.
Weather and natural resources were the basis of their lifestyle, and a majority were hunter-gatherers with fishing as an essential food staple.
Different tribes had different types of homes. In some cases, they would build a wig-wam, which is a kind of shelter made of sticks and logs that are covered with grass.
